Domo Kun! どーもくん

Finally found this character's name and history! So happy! Knew its exist long ago juz tat no time to search for it! haha...Its soooo cute! i find it look like me! Ops! There are so many products related to Domo kun! So far i only saw once at Taipei...wander if i still can find when in Taipei in Jan???

Domo-kun (どーもくん) is a small brown open-mouthed monster hatched from an egg who lives with a wise old rabbit underground. He really, really likes TV and also enjoys rocking out to Guitar Wolf. Domo-kun is the mascot of NHK''s BS2 (a satellite channel; he also appears on BS1). NHK has been producing a series of Domo-kun stop-motion vignettes that exude personal charm and warmth. There is also a wide variety of Domo-kun-related merchandise available, some of which is difficult/impossible to find in the US.
"Domo" in this case appears to mean more of something (usually to stress "thank you," "excuse me," etc), implying increased politeness. "kun" is used as "Mr." or "Ms." for "younger people or colleagues".

Me & Him (24th Feb 2005 ~ 25th Sep 2007)

Well... today is the 3rd day after our breakup. Still doing fine.... We are still friends.

I couldnt believe he told me out of a sudden that he need to reconsider our relationship whether do we have a future. While he is stil considering, i know him too well, since he say these, i knew he's gonna leave me. I feel v lost, cry & cry, wake up w tears roll down automatically, cant eat anythin juz feel like puking. Finally ask him out to talk abt it. As i cant take it anymore. Its reali killing me. He break the news. I m not shock. I m prepared. I didnt shed a single tear. I chose to believe wat he told me. He feel that we should be beta off friends.

I agree. We will be beta off as friends. Now putting any blame on each other is already too late and useless. Things jux happened. U never know wat is gonna happen tmr. I cherished our times together, jux that we are not fated to be together.

I feel that through these experiences i m a better person. Its jux part of life. N i m reali touch and appreciate my parent's and friend's concern. They make me realise that they are actually always there for me. :)

I m REALI fine so far and getting better, so...peng you meng dun have to worry abt me! Gambade!

Came across these article in magazine find it v useful:

Nothing left to lose

That's not to say there wont be times when u wont feel alone, but u an still make the most of them. Weekends can be the loneliest time, but, break it down and its not hard to think of 52 things to do in a year. You'll only have to plan abt 10 before u moved on with your life, anyw, u'll be amazed at the ppl who'll start to grativate towards u. Thats the thing abt being in a free fall - u have nothing to lose. u will feel alive for e first time in ages.

Your break-up survival kit - The essentials that will help ease the pain

* A fabulous new wardrobe

To show off all the weight u r abt to lose. Heartreak is way more effective than Atkins.

* Earplugs

Bcos having a meltdown in the supermarket when radio plays 'your song' is pretty embarassing.

* A 12-pack of kleenex and some Touche Eclat

Puffy eyes and a bright red hooter wont do your self esteem any good.

* A shrine to Kylie

She's single, childless, pushing 40 - if she can smile godammit, so can we....

Afterall, its all abt getting use to something. Juz have to re-adjust myself again. The world is not gonna end, life still carries on....

Home Alone: Day 5

Today is the 5th day home alone... mum called back twice to check is everything fine. Haha.. My laundry was successful with advices from Italy, maomao and shuhan. Thanks gals! Its pretty easy...not as difficult as i think! Throw most clothes into the washing machine and handwash a few and voila! I'm done!

Since mum not in, baby and me decided to cook ytd! Baby invented Xiao Man Tou with luncheon meat for starter and curry rice for main dish...while i decided on Okonomiyaki for side dish. We bought all the ingredients fr Giant @ tampines (beside Ikea). Hmm, think baby's cooking skill is better than mine, his Xiao Man Tou was great! Yummy! And curry rice was good too... the chicken is tender and tasty... As for my Okonomiyaki, taste was not so bad accept for the "dough" was alittle too thick. Well, 1st time trying without any recipe at first, can pass la... heehee. Will try to improve on it, reduce on the amt of flour will do...

Today was on my replacement off and baby took leave. We swept and mopped for the whole house b4 we met up w scott to buy an external hard disk for my comp at Sim Lim. $139 for 120GB. Need an extra hard disk for storing my photos and songs as my New Dell didnt have any partition, if it crash, i wouldnt have any backups.. Opsss CHOY!

Abit stress man... first time doing the washing! Shit... alr forgot what mum taught me on operating the washing machine! Opppssss......

Jux met up with Von, Lihong and Italy..had our dinner at PS Crystal Jade. Our friend italy v poor thing, gotta go "Vegetarian" for 3days. Her meals can only be fruits and plain porridge. Nothing veg or oil or meat. Today is her 2nd day... Gambade! After Crystal Jade, we had sundae at Mcdonalds, italy cannot stand it and she went shopping instead of watching us eat! Hahaha...

Ytd Singapore experience the tremors fr the earthquake at Indonesia again! But i didnt had any! Hearing other ppl's experience was so fun... some say how come feeling giddy la, ppl kicking their chair la, table shaking la... Here's some report on it:
Singapore buildings swayed after an earthquake hit Indonesia on Wednesday evening.
Residents in various parts of the island felt the quake and people in some buildings, including in the central business district, were evacuated as a safety precaution.
Areas in Singapore which felt the tremors included Novena, Paris Ris, Raffles Place, Potong Pasir, Marsiling, Toa Payoh and Thomson Road.
Singapore’s Meteorological Services said the earthquake measured 8.5 on the Richter Scale. The preliminary reading was 7.9.
The earthquake struck out at sea at 7.10pm. Its epicentre was 120 kilometres south—west of the Sumatran town of Bengkulu, at a depth of 15 kilometres.
This is some 670 kilometres from Singapore.
The Meteorological Services advised that a regional tsunami may be generated, but its preliminary assessment is that this is unlikely to affect Singapore.
The quake was strongly felt in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, some 600 kilometres away, with tall buildings swaying.
An official at the Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said a tsunami warning had been issued.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre issued a tsunami alert for the entire Indian Ocean region, while India’s Government Ocean Centre also issued a tsunami alert for Andaman Islands.
Indonesia was the nation worst hit by the earthquake—triggered tsunami of December 2004, which killed some 168,000 people in Aceh province alone.
The archipelago nation sits on the Pacific "Ring of Fire" where continental plates collide, causing frequent seismic and volcanic activity.
Wednesday’s tremors were the latest in a series of tremors felt in Singapore as a result of an earthquake in the region.
The last was as recently as 6 March this year after an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter Scale hit Padang, Indonesia.
A second quake measuring 6.1 hit the same area two hours later, causing a second round of tremors in Singapore.
Other tremors were also felt on 18 December 2006 and 29 March 2005.
But the worst quake in the last 40 years was the 26 December 2004 quake off Sumatra, which triggered a series of devastating tsunamis along the coastlines of parts of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar and Malaysia.
These came to be known collectively as the Asian Tsunami, and is the ninth deadliest natural disaster by death toll in modern history.
The United Nations had put the death toll at about 230,000 people.
That quake was originally recorded as 9.0 but this was later increased to between 9.1 and 9.3, making it the second largest earthquake ever recorded on a seismograph.
It lasted between 8 to 10 minutes. — CNA/ch/ms
